If you enjoy the great outdoors and cycling, you’ll love what the Gold Coast has to offer in the way of bike tracks. There is something everyone, no matter what level of fitness you are and something to satisfy those looking for a little adventure.
Main Beach to The Spit (also known as Federation Walk). This is a great cycling track for kids and adults looking for a sightseeing track that is not too challenging. This track comprises of bike path and bush track and takes in a scenic route along the coastline of the pristine beaches on the Gold Coast. The complete track is 5km’s from to Southport Lifesaving Club north up to the Seaway.
A little further afield from the beach is the slightly more challenging ride of 23.2km that runs between Little Nerang Dam and Springbrook. Whilst not a cycle for the faint-hearted, the bonus at the finish is that it has the best lookout in Springbrook. If you haven’t arranged to be picked up at the lookout, remember to take into account the return journey.
For those up for something more challenging as well as adventurous, you can try the 43-km round trip from Canungra to Mount Tambourine. There’s plenty to see and stop for on the way, so allow enough time to get maximum enjoyment from your day.
